"Mrs. Kile" was one of my teachers in high school at Scottland. She was kind, funny, and a bright spot in our day! I last saw her at an all-school reunion a few years ago..and she had that same twinkle in her eye that I had remembered long ago. I graduated in 1971..so she would have been my teacher probably around 1969 or so. She was a sweetheart and will be remembered as one of my favorites!

Mavis was a wonderful friend to our mother, Frances Baker, when she moved over to assisted living in Dayton, OH.  She wrote our mother a letter every day and they were very newsy and she told about her daily life.  My mother appreciated the letters very much as did all of the family. Mavis was very faithful to remember mother every day.
Mother and I visited her and Jess's home one day before mother moved to Ohio. They were both so gracious to us showing us their antiques.

To Karen and all the Family: Your mother was a joy to know, and a wonderful friend to us all.  We will never forget her friendship and kindness to my Grandma Nellie Reedy.  She was always on my list to visit when I came to Illinois.  She will be greatly missed.

My friend Mavis was a person of incredible faith, determination, and warmth of spirit.  Her friendship with my mother, Nellie Reedy, was evident in her enduring companionship and generosity during Nellie\'s last years. When Mavis entered the embrace of Her Maker, I believe that Nellie was waiting just behind Jess to welcome her friend with open arms.  My heartfelt condolences are offered in her memory to her family and close friends. Dan Reedy & Family.
